Do i have your attention ?
My name is Lara MulleN & I make designs that demand attention.
Hi, I’m a graphic designer based in Northeast Pennsylvania, originally from the Jim Thorpe area. I’ve been learning and practicing design since high school, where I joined the Commercial and Advertising Art program at Carbon Career and Technical Institute. That’s where I earned my Adobe certifications and started taking on branding projects for local small businesses. From early on, I knew design was something I wanted to pursue seriously.
I began college at Lehigh Carbon Community College studying Graphic Arts, then transferred to Wilkes University, where I’m currently majoring in Digital Design and Media Arts. I’ve also picked up a double major in History as well as minors in Art, Studio Art and Political Science, which feed into my love for storytelling and research. At Wilkes, I’ve worked as a tutor and teaching assistant in the Integrative Media and Design Department, supporting other students while continuing to grow my own skills.
One of the most meaningful parts of my experience has been my work with the Sordoni Art Gallery. I started out in general support roles, but eventually became a Design Fellow for the gallery. In that position, I’ve led the visual branding for major exhibitions, created promotional materials for public events, and helped launch a membership drive. I’ve been trusted with shaping how the gallery communicates its identity to the public, and that hands-on creative responsibility has pushed me to grow as both a designer and a communicator.
I’ve also interned with the Times-Tribune, served as the lead graphic designer for The Beacon student newspaper for two years, and was recognized as a Presidential Student Leader. Outside of class, I’m always exploring design in some way, reading about it, experimenting with new tools, or digging into historical research that inspires my creative thinking. Currently I am the Senior designer at center city print in kingston,pa, I also continue to hold a fellowship with the sordoni art gallery and in addition to this i am interning at the career development and internship center at wilkes university. busy bee but I love what I do, and I’m always looking for new ways to connect ideas through design.
When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me at home with my dog, listening to music or planning the next concert I want to see. Music is a huge part of my creative life. I’m constantly inspired by live shows, especially the energy and visual culture around hardcore music, which I’ve recently gotten really into. That passion spills into my design work, influencing how I think about emotion, community, and visual storytelling.
